After bursting on the scene little more than twenty years ago, Siduri has become one of California’s most celebrated producers of single vineyard Pinot Noir, showcasing premier vineyards and appellations from Santa Barbara north to Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

The winery was founded by Adam and Dianna Lee, two Texas wine geeks who, buoyed by their shared love of Pinot Noir, decided to move to California to pursue their dream of becoming winemakers.

Once in California, Adam and Dianna spent just one year working in tasting rooms before taking the winemaking plunge; using any and all free time to learn as much as they could about growing grapes and making wines.

They purchased their first Pinot Noir grapes from Anderson Valley’s Rose Vineyard as they have all grapes since – by the acre rather than the ton - giving them all important control over the farming and yields. It was a critical first step in establishing the quality for which Siduri would become known.

They made their first Siduri Pinot Noir – named for the Babylonian Goddess of wine - in borrowed facilities, sleeping on cots to monitor the wine around the clock. With the boldness that comes from being new and eager, they delivered a bottle of their 1994 Rose Vineyard Pinot Noir to a local hotel after hearing that renowned wine critic Robert Parker was staying there. Parker loved the wine, gave it a great review, and Siduri had burst onto the scene.

Since then, Siduri’s constant pursuit of Pinot perfection has led to long standing relationships with top growers and vineyards – both established and emerging – in premier appellations, including California’s Sta Rita Hills, Santa Lucia Highlands, Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley and Anderson Valley; and Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Yamhill-Carlton. They work with sustainably farmed vineyards, produce “gluten free’ wines and are one of the few premium wineries to use screw caps rather than corks to preserve the integrity of each site.

Over the years, Siduri has built a cult-like following among Pinot lovers and wine critics alike. The Wine Spectator’s Matt Kramer has said “To drink Siduri is to drink some of the best Pinot Noir made in California today”, while The Wine Advocate’s Robert Parker lists Siduri as “One of my favorite wineries” and “One of California’s top Pinot Noir producers”.

Today, Adam produces upwards of two dozen single-vineyard Siduri Pinot Noirs at his popular urban winery in Santa Rosa, Ca, working with his small team to coax the most expressive wines by vinifying each lot separately by block and clone.

In 2015, to celebrate their 20th year making Oregon wine, Siduri introduced its first Pinot Gris, from the Willamette Valley’s Arbre Vert Vineyard.

Siduri Wines is open 10am – 4pm daily by appointment for tastings and winery tours.
