If they could speak, the rocks of Concannon Vineyard would tell a tale rich in history. When James Concannon planted his first vineyards and built the winery in 1883, he established Concannon as a founding family of California wine. Today, an estimated 80% of all California’s Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Concannon Clones 7, 8, and 11 that originated from a single “Mother Vine” the Founder imported from Bordeaux back in 1893. In this inspiring atmosphere, the tradition of casual elegance and warm hospitality that first began in this historic winery lives on.
