Have you ever dreamed about becoming a winemaker? Perfect for wine enthusiasts and novice alike, Behind the Cellar Door is a weekend filled with world-class Amador wine, delectable small bites, barrel samples, hard-to-find vintages and wine education, all in an intimate Amador Wine Country setting.

Focused on the “Art of Winemaking,” guests will be able to immerse themselves in this wine region and discover why Amador Wine Country is one of the top wine regions in California and produces world-class wines that have been rated 100 points by Wine Spectator – twice in fact. From touring the vineyards in the Sierra Foothills, meeting our winemakers, and tasting unique varietals, Behind the Cellar Door offers a wealth of immersive activities during the two-day experience.

Guests will be able to reserve experiences at 5 different wineries each day from 45 wineries in Amador County situated amongst the beautiful Sierra Foothills. Enjoy tasting flights, behind the scene vineyard and winery tours, and an educational experience delivered by our winemakers and winery teams.
