Artichoke Festival In 2019 the Castroville Artichoke Festival will celebrate it’s 60th year at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center. The fun includes: great entertainment, Artichoke Eating Contest, Argo-Art, Field Tours, Ca Wine Expo, Arts & Crafts, Food Vendors, Artichoke Food Demos, Farmers Market, Artichoke Food Booths, and much more!
The Artichoke Festival is a commemoration of all things artichoke. The event has artichoke cooking demos, tours of artichoke farms, artichoke-themed art and souvenirs (and a contest to make art out of actual artichokes!), artichokes (and other vegetables) for sale at the farmers’ market, a wine exposition, and of course artichokes prepared in every way imaginable.
