New Year’s Eve Celebration at Copper Spoon in Oakland

On New Year’s Eve, Copper Spoon in Oakland will be open for dinner starting at 5:30 PM with last seatings at 10:00 PM serving a $75.00 four-course prix fixe menu with an optional cocktail or a wine pairing, either for an additional $40.00. All diners will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to toast with at midnight. The prix fixe will include Vegan Farmers Market Soup or Chicory Salad with pomegranate seeds, buttermilk herb dressing and fried onions; homemade Crostini with Creamy Spinach-Artichoke Dip or Lentil-Eggplant Dip; a half Dungeness Crab with aioli, melted butter and garlic noodles or a whole Cornish Game Hen with coconut black eye peas and rice and braised cabbage topped with persimmon chutney (for vegetarians/vegans, a Tagine with ras el hanout marinated tempeh and chanterelle mushrooms); and Cardamom Chocolate Mousse or Vegan Coconut Ice Cream topped with pomegranate syrup.

From 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, in the restaurant’s Golden State Lounge, there will be a dance party with DJ Mark Maiden providing the musical entertainment. There will be a $20.00 cover charge for the party except for those who previously had dinner who will be admitted for free.
