Joining a wine club solidifies your status as a bona fide wine lover—membership is a commitment, and should be thought out carefully. Though almost all wine clubs offer a yearly assortment of wine and some discounted tastings, a few go above and beyond with unique events and custom membership options. Here are some current favorite wine clubs.

Beringer Vineyards

Beringer Vineyards
2000 Main St,
St Helena, CA 94574
(707) 257-5771

Beringer Vineyards is famed for its intricately decorated Rhine House mansion built in 1884, and members of the Beringer Reserve Club receive complimentary tastings at a private section of the mansion away from the crowds. Beringer Vineyards also offer two other club options, with members of every group enjoying complimentary summer and holiday club dinners at the historic Founders Room in the mansion.

Members also receive invites to classes, concerts, and other pop-up events that can range from gourmet pasta making to barrel tastings in the hand-dug caves where the winemakers perform their craft. Beringer Vineyards hosts events and socials across the country, including box seats at baseball games, so you don’t have to be a Californian to enjoy everything the membership has to offer.

Goosecross Cellars, a quaint, unpretentious Napa Valley winery, offers a fantastic pricing plan for members of its wine clubs: there is no cost to join: the winery will just charge your credit card at the time of each release. The events at the scenic winery are worth a special visit, like lobster-in-the-vineyards dinners and networking gatherings.

The winery will also send out recipes with each release for meals that either use Goosecross Cellars wine, or pair well with specific bottles. There are four clubs to choose from depending on how many bottles you wish to receive every year.

The wine club includes six shipments every year straight to your doorstep, totaling 12 to 18 bottles each year. Club Chandon members can select to receive all sparkling wine, all still, or a mix of both. They also get a complimentary tasting of Domaine Chandon’s well-loved Brut Classic with every visit.
